I have had the privilege of serving the citizens of Norton Shores as a City Councilman from 1991 to 2001 and then as your County Commissioner from 2002 through today. In those 15 short years, Norton Shores has become the powerhouse of cities in Muskegon County.

In that short time:

• Over 2,000 new jobs have been created in Norton Shores
• 1,650 new homes have been built
• Our environment has been protected and preserved
• Our quality of life ranks among the highest in the entire county, and
• Norton Shores tax rate continues to be the lowest of any city in Muskegon County
  

When I served on your City Council, I was proud to be part of the City Council that the Muskegon Chronicle
characterized as “Team Norton.”

I believe I have brought the same ideas and principles that helped build Norton Shores to the Muskegon County Commission. I’ve helped bring fiscal responsibility to the County, helping cut the budget by $7,000,000. We’ve made some terrific strides forward and I pledge to continue to work hard for you – the Citizens of Norton Shores – as your County Commissioner. I will continue to work to move this County forward, improve the lives of all it’s citizens and protect our natural resources. I ask for your vote in November!
